Brush your teeth twice a day

We don't know the value of our teeth until we lose them all. This is a famous proverb in Bengali that is preached over and over again to all little children to take good care of their teeth regularly.

Regular dental care is very important.

We use our teeth to eat food, which is the most important job in life. If we didn't have teeth, it would be very touching to eat the different foods we eat.

We need teeth for bubble gum, tearing, cutting and other similar activities before we can actually digest food. Everything we eat will go through our teeth before they can be swallowed. That is why it is so important that our teeth function properly, are strong and healthy.

Brushing Your Teeth

Every time we go to the doctor, we are told to brush our teeth regularly. Brushing actually removes bacteria from our teeth. Bacteria cause the lion's share of dental problems. When we eat and leave without brushing and brushing our teeth, food particles remain attached to the gums and the contours of the teeth.

Bacteria, which are always available in the air or in our digestive system, quickly attack these food particles. They use digestive juices to turn these foods into their delicious forms and eat them. During this procedure, tooth enamel is destroyed along with food particles, and sometimes the root of the teeth is also weakened during this process.

To prevent bacteria from building up on the gums and around the teeth, it is very important to brush your teeth and remove any food particles that may have accumulated there. That is why dentists around the world recommend brushing your teeth twice a day.

Many doctors still differ on the timing of brushing their teeth. Should there be morning after waking up and night before bedtime? Or should it be twice after meals, namely lunch and dinner?. There needs to be more research done on this.

I am sure that there are two different thoughts behind these two policies, but we will find out and publish them in one of the next posts here. So, stay tuned!

To your health!
