Incredible Honey Health Benefits: A Yogic Superfood

It produces a different type of effect when ingested with cold water. It will undoubtedly be possible to maintain a certain equilibrium in the blood's chemistry while also keeping the blood pure.

A fantastic diet for kids that will strengthen their cognitive abilities There are a few tribes known as Jenukurubas in Karnataka. The term "Jenukurubas" refers to honey herders. I once had the chance to spend a brief period of time with them.

Their diet is as follows: one bamboo glass first thing in the morning, you know? This method of cutting bamboo shoots requires around 3/4 litre.

The diet consists solely of three-fourths of a litre of honey in the morning. You consume 3/4 of a litre of honey in the morning before heading out into the woods. You may easily travel 30 to 40 kilometres and climb at least 50 trees in a single day.

You get off, go up and down, up and down the trees, and until evening, there is nothing else. As you harvest honey, you lick whatever comes on your hand. So, in a day, you're taking in almost more than a litre and a half of honey.

When you come back in the evening, there is some cereal, usually jola—that’s jowar—or ragi—or something like this. Their main staple diet is honey, and you drink this three-fourths of a litre of honey, and the whole day you’re so active that there is no hunger; you’re just fired up like that.

They live on this; they’re called honey shepherds, and their diet is honey. Honey is one of the best things that you can consume. Psychological stability, physical well-being, and vitality—all these things can be greatly enhanced simply by consuming daily honey.

Only one substance on earth, honey, has chemical properties that are substantially similar to those of human blood. It almost resembles blood if a few things are altered. Honey is quite beneficial for your health when consumed regularly, especially if you have issues with excess mucus. It keeps your mind attentive, is very beneficial for your heart and brain, and is quite energising.

So, daily consumption of honey can do a lot, especially if you have growing children; they must consume honey on a daily basis. It’ll do a lot for the development of their intelligence and everything else. Even the ash gourd—ash gourd and honey together will make a wonderful diet for children in terms of enhancing their intellectual capabilities.

If you cook honey, it’ll become more hygenic for you. Honey should not be cooked; I know people are baking it and cooking it in cakes and other things, but it’s not a good thing to do; certain parts of the honey turn contamination if you cook them. You should put it in warm water, not boiling water.

If you put it in hot water, it sets off a certain kind of enzyme that behaves in such a certain way in the honey that it tends to take weight off the body. If you put it in cold water, it behaves in a different way, and accordingly, it adds weight to the body. It is not that a few spoons of honey that you’re taking are adding weight to your body. It is just that it sets off a certain reaction in your system because your absorption rate is such that you tend to gain weight.

So, honey... it has different types of impacts on the system. If it's consumed raw, it has one kind of impact. If it is consumed in cold water, it has another kind of impact. If it is consumed in warm water, it has a different kind of impact. We want to consume it in warm water here because we want the system to open up.

If you want to integrate the system just for health, somebody is feeling, what, anemic? Somebody… Anemia means, on one level, that the blood has lost its iron; that means you have lost your steel, okay?

You lost the strength in the body; you will feel exhausted, simply exhausted for nothing, because once the necessary iron is not there, your ability to carry oxygen through the body is less.

That means your body, your heart, your brain—everything will be functioning at a lower level because you don’t have enough oxygen. So, to take care of this, one of the simple things is that you consume a little bit of honey in warm water on a daily basis, and you will see that slowly the RBC content will go up.

If there's more oxygen in the blood, suddenly you feel a burst of energy; suddenly everything is active; the rejuvenation system in the body is going up; the dead cells are being replaced quickly; the level of inertia that you feel in the body is much lower; the level of inertia that you feel in your mind is much lower.

So, consuming honey will bring a certain balance to the circulatory system, which is very, very essential for a yoga practitioner because you're pushing the body in certain ways. So, keeping the blood chemistry in a certain balance and keeping the blood pure will definitely happen with regular consumption of honey, and it's very necessary for someone who practises yoga. And turmeric also does similar things: it purifies the blood and brings a certain transparency to your energies.

Turmeric is one substance that not only works on the physiology but also on the energy system, and it is also true of honey that it also has an impact on your energy system. Honey makes you more vibrant. Turmeric kind of calms you and keeps you easy.

This morning, you are having a little bit of honey, neem, and turmeric.

Consuming neem and turmeric with a very mildly spiced honey water, on the other hand, acts as a wonderful way of cleansing and dilating the system. As a result, when you practise sadhana, the muscles become more flexible as a result of the dilation, and this flexibility acts as a way to gradually build the system into a more powerful possibility.

A lot of germ has to be eliminated if you want to give the system a new degree of flexibility. If you only follow a water diet or a honey and water diet, which will keep you sufficiently energised if you aren't already bone-thin and if you can afford to lose a little weight, adding honey won't help; if you add enough honey or if you consume spoonfuls of honey, you won't lose weight either.

The quantity of toxins that you eliminate from the body after doing this for 7 or 8 days is enormous. You'll notice that your body is suddenly considerably more flexible if you do this. Don't believe anything; only try it. Therefore, honey has a crucial purpose. Consuming honey while practising yoga is recommended.
